As Senior Executive VP/Director of Communications for The Nicholas Group, Mr. Joseph Marinko manages government, community, and public relations for the company. Mr. Marinko combines a wealth of experience in corporate communications with expertise in strategic partnerships, consensus building and local outreach, ensuring a consistently high level of community support for The Nicholas Group projects. After 30 years of service, Mr. Marinko retired as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His casework included managing highly sensitive and complex investigations including Federal, Criminal, Foreign Counterintelligence, Civil Rights and Presidential Appointments. More recently, Mr. Marinko has been working closely with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, as well as municipal and regional government officials throughout the Coachella Valley. In addition to his public relations responsibilities, Mr. Marinko handles project logistics for the firm, including entitlements, environmental impact reports, property appraisals, and federal trust leasing. Mr. Marinko was raised in Palm Springs and has been actively involved in the community throughout his career. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles, and currently resides in Palm Desert with his wife Sheryl. |
