Mr. Chris Komanowski serves as Chief Development Officer for The Nicholas Group. Mr. Komanowski is a seasoned real estate and resort development executive who has over 15 years of experience in both the lodging and gaming industries. Most recently with Harrah’s Entertainment in Las Vegas, the world’s largest Gaming Company, Mr. Komanowski was in charge of the Company’s Corporate Development Organization prior to the acquisition of Caesar’s Entertainment. Mr. Komanowski’s post-Caesar responsibilities were for North and Central America which included overseeing important new-build developments, acquisitions and strategic dispositions. Prior to Harrah’s Entertainment, Mr. Komanowski was Vice President of Full Service Hotel Development at Marriott Corporation. Mr. Komanowski was responsible for mixed-use and new resort development for Ritz-Carlton Hotels for the Western portion of the United States. Mr. Komanowski successfully completed many Ritz-Carlton resort projects and also handled various merger and acquisition opportunities on the property level. Mr. Komanowski was prominently involved in the acquisition of the Ritz-Carlton Company, LLC by Marriott in April 1995. Mr. Komanowski also was involved in asset management, market planning and work out functions while at Marriott’s Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. |
